The Corporate Honor Roll recognizes and pays tribute to businesses whose visible leadership and active involvement have advanced youth mentoring in Delaware. Companies are selected to the Honor Roll by the Delaware Mentoring Council (DMC) as recommended by the Business Mentoring Alliance (BMA).
Companies Selected for inclusion in the Corporate Honor Roll receive the following recognition (To be re-issued annually):
- Each member receives a certificate of recognition.
- A press release is issued to major news and business publications about the company's selection to the Honor Roll.
- Corporate Honor Roll members are recognized on the DMC's website.
Criteria for selection
Companies meeting at least three of the following criteria are eligible for the Corporate Honor Roll:
- The CEO formally commits to involve the company in youth mentoring.
- The CEO and/or at least one member of senior management is a mentor.
- The company has established employee release time for mentoring.
- At least 10 employees or 1% of the company workforce are involved in mentoring.
- The company has a mentoring liaison and promotes mentoring and recruits within the organization.
